Manual AirBricks/vent covers reduce the risk of water entering a property. These airbricks and covers are fitted manually when a flood occurs or when floods are expected. They provide ongoing protection against rising flood water, debris and insect penetration and are multipurpose as they can be installed in brick, concrete, stone, steel, render finish or hardwood structures in both domestic and commercial properties.
AirBricks are multi-vent bricks that allow air to circulate in the building. They are usually 15cm or so off the ground and surround properties at that level. Floodworks’ range of air bricks and covers can be attached quickly and easily in case of a flood.
The Airbrick can replace standard airbricks by allowing free airflow under the floorboards eliminating the risk of damp and dry rot and stopping rodent infestation.
Airbricks/vent covers are used by home and business owners alike to help reduce water ingress into a property. These products have achieved the BBA PPA No06/P001 and Kitemark PAS 118-1:2009. This means they have been tested in real-life situations and fluids including river and sea water, wave and flow testing and have been proven to be extremely effective in real floods.
